Hana Miletić’s work collects, documents and questions contemporary phenomena related to cultural identities that take place in European cities. Documentary photography lies at the core of her practice, however, the artist no longer considers documentary photography to be a strictly photographic discipline. Miletić uses photography as a catalyst within the working process to create publications and installations. By introducing exchange andcollaboration into the artistic process Miletić establishes a dialogue that she considers necessary when engaging with a variable social reality.

During her residency at Lokaal01 the artist will explore the experimental potential of hip hop subculture through a collaboration with a collective of young rappers from Brussels.
